Western-Inspired Needle Felting | SAT., Nov 21, 2-5 PM
A Cowboy Country Christmas: A Western-Inspired Needle Felting Workshop
Celebrate the Christmas season with a little Western charm!
Join fiber artist Andrea Rummel of Andrea's Studio for the Arts for a fun and creative needle felting workshop here at The Art Space! Participants will create a rustic Christmas scene featuring a cowboy boot dressed up for the holidays, complete with festive greenery, bright red berries, and a snowy country landscape.
Adding a special touch to this workshop, we'll be using locally sourced wool from The Sheepwalk Ranch in Bandera, Texas, bringing a little piece of the Texas Hill Country into our holiday artwork.
No experience is necessary! Andrea will guide you step by step through the art of painting with wool as you create your own unique Christmas keepsake.
Come enjoy a little creativity, Christmas cheer, and cowboy country charm!
All materials are included. Beginners are welcome! (Adults; kids 12+ may attend with an adult)
ONLY 9 SPOTS AVAILABLE
***No refunds after Nov. 17 because of the prep work involved.
Our third workshop during Christmas in God’s Country! (Glass mosaics will be from 10AM-Noon; Painting a hand poured plaster nativity will be from 12:30-2PM. See Workshop listings for details)
Meet the teacher:
Greetings! My name is Andrea Rummel, an educator with 30 years of experience. I've been an art teacher for the last 20 years. The last 4 years I've concentrated on becoming a fiber artist. I'm proud to say I've been an award winning felting artist for the last 4 years. Throughout my career, I've imparted artistic knowledge to children and adults across various mediums. Operating from my studio in Fredericksburg, I dedicate days to exploring fresh techniques for my artwork. In my classes, I aim to foster enjoyment, ignite imagination, and encourage experimentation within a comfortable setting. My ultimate aspiration is for you to feel fulfilled and accomplished in your artistic endeavors.
